To make a difference in the growing environmental concerns, I began my independent undergraduate research with Ar. Tarun Kumar from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in the field of environment and sustainability. I am delighted to share that the research culminated in an opportunity to present three of my papers at the World Resources Forum 2017 (WRF2017)- the annual international conference on resource management in Geneva, Switzerland- of which (2) is published in the book Progress Towards Resource Revolution (ISBN 978-3-9521409-8-7) edited by esteemed Prof. Dr. Christian Ludwig and Prof. Dr. Sonia Valdivia. The research presented at WRF2017 included:

(1) Bio-Inspired Sustainable Solutions For Human-Induced Environmental Disasters (Oral Presentation by co-author)

(2) Rejuvenation Of Lakes In Indian Cities: A Case Study For The Betterment Of Wetlands In Bangalore (Oral Presentation)

(3) Sustainable Tourism: Eco-Friendly Means Regulating Resources (Poster Presentation)

Exploring the options of sustainability coupled with my interest in research led me to Green Buildings and Sustainable Engineering 2019 (GBSE2019), an Indo-German conference in Kochi, India, organised by Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology along with University of Stuttgart, Germany, whereI had the opportunity to present my paper titled “Life-cycle Analysis of Hand-loom Silk as Against Power-loom silk: A comparison on the Socio-economic and Environmental Impacts”. I am happy to inform you that it has also been published by Springer Singapore.
